Zhejiang Chenguang Cable Co., Ltd. mainly researches on the technology and products related to cables and the cable industry chain. The company currently has 103 technical staff, including 1 senior engineer, 8 deputy senior engineers and senior technicians, and 62 researchers with bachelor's degrees or intermediate title or above. These personnel are distributed across departments such as technology development, process, quality inspection, production, equipment, sales, and branch factories. The company has a provincial-level enterprise technology center, provincial-level enterprise research institute, provincial-level key enterprise technological innovation team, provincial-level outstanding academician expert team, national demonstration academician expert workstation, state-level skill master workshop and provincial-level and Yangtze River Delta labor model craftsman innovation workshop.
The company has implemented ERP technology information and MES information management. Computer software design is used in cable development, product structure design, cable parameter and current carrying calculation, fixture and mold design, drum tool design, test instrument design, special tool and equipment design, electrical repair, and company factory design.
The new products and technologies developed by the company have received 7 provincial and municipal science and technology progress awards, undertaken 1 national Torch Program industrialization demonstration project, and 3 Zhejiang provincial science and technology plan projects. The company has designed and developed more than 30 new products such as 220kV high-voltage intelligent temperature measurement power cables and OPLC fiber composite low-voltage cables, which have passed province-level or higher-level appraisal and acceptance. The company's design and development of 110kV cross-linked polyethylene insulation composite smooth aluminum sheath power cables and 220kV split isolated capacity increasing power cables have reached the international advanced level. The "continuous extrusion aluminum wrapping technology" developed by the company is the first of its kind in China and internationally leading, winning the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Second Prize.。
The company attaches great importance to the declaration and protection of independent intellectual property rights and has obtained a total of 40 patents. It has published more than 30 cable technology papers in domestic first-tier professional journals, which have a significant impact in the power system and cable industry.
The company has various forms of cooperation with Zhejiang University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute, China Electric Power Research Institute, and other universities in Zhejiang and other provinces in the company's 13th Five-Year Plan, key technology research on low AC resistance high-capacity high-voltage cables, and fund-raising projects, gaining rich experience and forming a good industry-university-research cooperation mechanism.
